Publishing & Publication SErvices
Publishing
The publishing arm of Duskbound Books focuses on producing books from the core founding members, as well as books from select writers chosen through our submission process. In addition to novels, we produce an annual juried anthology featuring a variety of diverse, new, and established voices. This anthology is typically open to submissions the second week of January each year, and all proceeds from the sale of the anthology are donated to [insert chosen charity]. Publication Services
Duskbound Books is a collective of talented writers, designers, and marketers. We have decades of experience in our respective fields and within publishing. Previously, each member was part of The Writing Bloc Cooperative—an initiative that focused on community and publishing passionate authors through volunteer work.
For books where we cannot afford to shoulder the entire cost of publication, we offer select services and packages at competitive industry prices. In addition to these services, we’ll provide a publication guide, launch strategy, and marketing calendar.

Our History
Every story has a beginning
Previously, each Founder belonged to the Writing Bloc Writing Community, which eventually transitioned into an independent publisher dedicated to producing quality books by passionate authors through cooperative, volunteer work. Duskbound Books was born out of creative and personal survival. As the collaborative community aspect of Writing Bloc dissolved, each Founder was dedicating their personal time (and sometimes money) to the publication of other individuals’ work. The idea was noble, but not sustainable.
Duskbound Books was formed in the fall of 2023 with the hopes of achieving the vision initially set out by Writing Bloc, while providing a fairer, more sustainable environment to the Founders.
The goal is to still publish the fantastic voices we believe in, host themed anthologies for new and established voices to stretch their creative muscles with, and provide services to the indie author community at competitive industry prices.
